How would you explain the colour blue to a blind person?
I would say Blue Is The Warmest Colour.

What’s a scene from a movie that made you cry the most?
So many. But I probably did my ugliest cry at the finale of Dancer In The Dark. Since I’ve used that one as a ‘cry movie’ example on other posts, I will bring some variety and recall that I also cried so bad at Sophie’s Choice. I shock-cried at A Serbian Film.
Hit me with the best joke you’ve heard.
There’s a joke I want to say. But I’m not sure if this is the platform for it. So I’ll go with… what did Jay Z call his girlfriend before she was his wife? Feyonce!
Halloween is my favourite holiday. What are you guys dressing up as this year?
I’d like to dress controversially… not your average witch or skeleton. I saw a great costume example where someone dressed as the bedroom wall from Stranger Things, with Christmas Lights on it and the hand pushing through the material. You’d have to see it to get my flow.
What’s the best ad you’ve ever seen? (I’m intrigued)

Have you done House Of Cards? That’s just great. I always recommend Bates Motel, and the new season is upcoming on Netflix in 2017.
If you could talk to your 13 year old self, what would you say?
Dude. Don’t wear that. It doesn’t look as cool as you think.
What’s a film that changed your perspective on life/the world?
The Paradise Lost documentary film series really had a profound impact on my perception of the American justice system, and I guess mankind as a whole. I’m really immersed in the whole new wave of docos coming out about wrong convictions and unsolved crimes … West of Memphis, Making a Murderer, the new Amanda Knox Netflix film (fantastic), The Central Park Five, Who Took Johnny, etc. If you aren’t familiar with the West Memphis Three case, simply YouTube ‘Paradise Lost movie’ and catch the 3 documentaries. Then let’s talk about it.
If money wasn’t a problem (wages and stuff), what job would you wanna do?
I would like to own a little shack shop selling and renting scuba stuff, potentially in Fiji, or Northern Queensland in Australia. Somewhere hot and tropical. How cool would that be? We would also be a mini bar.. doing refreshing drinks and stuff!
Tips and advice for new bloggers out there? (Speech, speech, speech)
‘If you want the rainbow.. you gotta put up with the rain.’ Hahaa no.. I would say just have fun with a subject that you’re really passionate about, whether it’s movies, music, travelling.. or making things from matchsticks. If you really love something you can write about it and make that something interesting to someone else. Don’t try to conform to any other style or topic, just choose what suits you and if you’re enjoying it, it will radiate through and others will enjoy it too.

Thanks for the shout out! Also a few quick comments: Guess that’ll be the second time Leo is put in an iron mask. A Serbian Film was 50 shades of fucked up. I really wanna hear that joke now, bet it’s all dark and shit. That Stranger Things costume was too good. Really like the Haribo ads too aha it’s simple but effective. HoC is amazing and I’ve given up recently on Bates Motel. Ahaha “If you can’t handle me at my worst, you don’t deserve me at my best.” Really good advice though. About to watch this Amanda Knox thing now.

Superbad. If this was Book of Eli, I would be Denzel and Superbad would be the Bible.

Empathy, I think. Putting yourself in your character’s shoes.
What do you do to relax?
Sleeping is pretty damn relaxing.

So you’re like the scientist no one listens to in movies huh? I’m probably googling, “Where can I buy a katana from?” And then the police are probably tracking my search history. And now I’m in prison. And now the zombie apocalypse has started. And now people have forgotten and left me in my cell. And now I’m starving to death. Probably best stick with a baseball bat.

Glad we’re on the same wavelength re: A Serbian Film, although it does raise some interesting debates about censorship in the movies. It was just extreme in the worst way.

My favourite is easily the three ‘Paradise Lost’ docos. If you haven’t seen them – seriously just catch them on youtube. Extremely unforgettable – it’ll keep you awake at night.

I’ve not seen Life in a Day but I heard about it, I remember when it came out and I thought I’d be the first to see it. But I never did. I will! If you watch Pardise Lost.

Thankyou Pete! Interesting answers. Especially re: the Paddington Train Crash. You’re onto something there. I also think it would be interesting to see the events unfold through the point of view of an EMT as well. Vicky McClure is just great. I like her in everything she does. Did you ever see the BBC series of shorts titled ‘True Love’? It got really bad reviews but I liked it.

I saw some of them, but always loved her work in ‘This Is England’ and ‘Line of Duty’, as well as the recent series ‘The Secret Agent’. I know Johnny Harris quite well, and he talks highly of her talent, and what a nice lady she is too. Hence some of my casting choices!

4. What skills do you need to be a truly great actor or actress? An expressive face and the ability to invest emotion in the character. It also helps when someone immerses themselves in a part and you see the character, rather than just an actor playing a part.
5. What do you do to relax? Listen to music and read.
6. You’re at a pretty wild party with Meg Ryan, Arnold Schwarzeneggar, Ellen Page and Robert De Niro… what situations/conversations would you like to unfold? Would be interesting to see Arnie and Rob get into a fight and seeing who’d win.
7. What’s your favourite time of day and why? I love night because you can unwind and be at peace.
8. What real life event/story/situation would you really like to see made into a film? And elaborate.. who would be starring in the movie? Who directs it? What’s the soundtrack? I’d like to see a movie based on Madonna’s life. Getting the right actress would be a tough one but for directing duties I’d like Spielberg.

Great answers! Scuba diving in somewhere like Fiji or Australia sounds amazing! I think many of us would also like to say that to our 13-year-old selves. 😛
1) Family Guy

4) Versatility. Typecasting can lead to a great actor’s/actress’ career going nowhere.
5) Play video games. Although sometimes that can be stressful too, it’s a different kind of stressful.
6) I expect something to get broken.
7) The evening because that’s when I get to relax the most.
8) Not really sure, honestly.
9) Probably sleeping in. As much as I like to think I would be one of the survivors battling my way through zombie hordes to survive, I would probably become one of the zombies you see chasing down the heroes. Nor do I have the knowledge to try to find the cure. Might as well relax before everything goes to hell.
10) Cheating a little bit but all of the current DCEU films. DC should start over. The character history, potential, and fan base is there, DC just needs to slow down and stop rushing their films and releasing poor quality movies that don’t represent how great their characters can actually be.

That was all off of the top of my head, I haven’t thought about it at all.

Interesting that you would like to erase the Nymphomaniac vols. I think they’re pretty interesting movies, but man – they’re a LOT. What do you think of Lars Von Trier’s other movies, if you’ve seen them?

I’ve tried in the past to get into them and, while I can appreciate he has a certain style, when it gets to genital laceration, or whatever he’s up to, I can’t go on. However, there is no artistic merit in Human Centipede, I think we can all agree.

#6 I think Meg Ryan and Ellen Page will hit if off amazing well to the point where they may not even notice Robert De Niro and Arnold Schwarzeneggar’s presence…chatting away. On the other side of the room, Schwarzeneggar will be impressed that De Niro is there too, and will want a selfie together. De Niro will do a selfie and then slightly tipsy say: “Arn, you know…the Kindergarten Cop 2” is so overdue”…:)

I recently read about Prince Vlad the Impaler. I think it could be a great movie starring Ben Barnes. Director would be Francis Ford Coppola, of course. The soundtrack is going to be composed by Wojciech Kilar.

I’d quite like a film made about the phone hacking scandal with The News of the World. Although, it would 100% need David Fincher directing, and a screenplay from Aaron Sorkin. As for who’d star in it, I’ll need to have a further think.

Hmm… probably Gulliver’s Travels (the Jack Black one). I love Jack Black, and most of the cast actually, but that movie was dreadful.

Probably a good thing you didn’t finish it, nothing matches the crippling disappointment of seeing Jack Black, Chris O’Dowd and Billy Connolly together and being unhappy about it.
